Since Annabelle was born I’ve been on a kick of making us matching t-shirts using my Silhouette. I know it’s cheesy to wear matching outfits, but I love it! And I figure I only have a few precious years where I have full outfit control, so I’m going all in while I can.
I made myself and Annabelle matching outfits for her first Fourth of July. Since Callahan joined the family I wanted to make him one this year too.
If you are familiar with using a Silhouette machine and heat transfer vinyl, these are easy enough to make. I purchased the design on the Silhouette Design Store and added a few stars to jazz it up a bit. A little weeding, quick iron press and they were done!
I ordered my tank top on Amazon. I have heard good things about Next Level tees and I was impressed with the softness and fit of the tank I bought: Red Next Level Apparel Women’s Tank Top. I read the reviews and learned these run small. This is true! I normally wear a small (I’m 5’2″, 112 lbs.) and the medium fits me perfectly. This is my third year to wear this tank and it has washed well and is now very soft.
You can also get the Next Level tank on JiffyShirts.com on the cheap. Or, if you are pregnant, try this one from Peanut Maternity on Amazon which I had and loved when I was pregnant with Callahan!
I bought Annabelle’s onesie at Hobby Lobby. I love the softness of their Creations of Grace line. The color also holds up well in the washer.
They do shrink a little, so plan for that when you choose your size. Annabelle was 11 months and about 19 lbs and and was wearing size 6-12 months in the photo above. She was also wearing Cat & Jack denim shorts from Target.
As an alternative I love this onesie for baby girls: Kavio Infants Sunflower Short Sleeve Onesie.
This year, I bought Annabelle a Red Toddler T-Shirt from Hobby Lobby in 3T and Callahan a Red Infant T-Shirt from Hobby Lobby in 12-18 months. I’m planning for us all to wear coordinating jean shorts and festive footwear.
